“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up”
Pablo Picasso.

Now in its third year, this annual charity event presents the works and offers for sale the paintings of enthusiastic amateur artists living in Bangkok’s lively art community. This year the exhibition includes paintings by Vongthip Chumpani, who initiated this project, Ratanavadee Senadisai, and Vinita Janvatanavit and their friends.

Art and culture play an important role in our society. In a world increasingly disconnected by technology that is designed to do the reverse, attending an art exhibition provides an opportunity for enjoyment and learning. Time out from the day-to-day humdrum of our busy lives to be delighted or challenged by art, and an opportunity to share thoughts about the exhibition with friends or strangers.

River City Bangkok thanks all painters showing here, many of whom are selling their art for charitable projects. From the sale of paintings, 20% will be donated to the Thai Red Cross Society. We also thank all for visiting the exhibition and for those purchasing a painting they fall in love with. In this way, the painter and art-lover coming together to make our world a better place.
